Does sacred honor even exist in Washington anymore? Because I ratted out a self-avowed Communist in the administration in Van Jones, the same organizations, the same politicians, the same progressive media that are ignoring or standing for ACORN now, have called me Joseph McCarthy. They have such little regard for your intelligence that they don’t think you’re going to figure out that Joseph McCarthy was a powerful senator! Surrounded by the trappings of power of the United States government. With the power of subpoena and the power of Congress! The guy who stood against that was alone. While everybody else wet their pants and cowered in fear! You’d think the members of the media might remember his name. It was Edward R. Murrow. And while I am nowhere near an Edward R. Murrow, never claimed to be, let me use the words of, finally, somebody that stood up to the power, and these senators, and said, Senator, have you no shame? Have you no shame?
(In case you were wondering where this primal howl came from, here it is.)
Meanwhile we have Rush today:
Rush told us that he had a “legitimate” question to ask…He explained how presidents are usually heavily scrutinized before being elected, and after being elected to office — they are usually given a “media anal exam.” But Rush said no scrutiny has occurred with President Obama, and when these “checks and balances are MIA,” our nation is headed for trouble.
So Rush’s question was: “Can this nation really have an African-American president?” He went on to add:
LIMBAUGH: Or will the fact that we have an African-American president so paralyze politically correct people in the media that the natural scrutiny and process through which all of our presidents are put through and vetted do not occur because of the fear in the state-controlled media of themselves being called racist and the desire to be able to call everyone else racist?
He then went on to explain that he isn’t a racist in any way shape or form and that Obama “isn’t black” to him.
But he does make a good argument for not ever electing a conservative Republican again. After all, the politically correct right wing won’t allow any criticism of religious activity or military adventures without staging a full blown fit and calling the media anti-American and anti-Christian if they do it.
