Trump on a roll with the boys in blue

They love him. They really love him:
“We’re keeping the oil” — here’s Trump touting war crimes to a smattering of cheers during a speech to a law enforcement group in Chicago. pic.twitter.com/hCQ7OSAm0i— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) October 28, 2019
TRUMP on al-Baghdadi: “He should’ve been killed years ago. Another president should’ve gotten him … They’d walk into my office — ‘sir, we’ve killed this leader at a low level.’ I said, ‘I never heard of him. I want al-Baghdadi. That’s the only one I know now. Get him!'” 😳 pic.twitter.com/MW9gVXUDhp— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) October 28, 2019
They’re fine with this as well:

He insults them to his face and they identify with him rather than their own institution. He compared their city to Afghanistan and they applaud him.
They just love him, no matter what he says. I honestly can’t think of anything he could do that would turn them against him.
They are law enforcement. And that’s scary.
Trump bashes Chicago's police superintendent for saying he wasn't coming to see Trump because of his values and Chicago's values: "That's a very insulting statement after all I've done for the police." (This appears to be in his prepared text.)— Daniel Dale (@ddale8) October 28, 2019
Trump is now mocking Jussie Smollett. He says that was a "scam just like the impeachment of your president is a scam."— Daniel Dale (@ddale8) October 28, 2019
He believes they are loyal to him and him alone.
