The GOP’s investigations go in circles
[Sen. Chuck Grassley] on Wednesday issued a joint statement with Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) alleging Biden was involved in a “criminal scheme” when he served as vice president that involved a foreign national. The two Republican lawmakers called on the Justice Department to release a 2020 document they claim alleges Biden’s involvement in the scheme.
“We believe the FBI possesses an unclassified internal document that includes very serious and detailed allegations implicating the current President of the United States,” Grassley said in a statement.

But Grassley was singing a different tune on Friday, admitting to Newsmax’s Greta Van Susteren that he has no evidence to back his claim, Newsweek reports.
“It is a very serious allegation. I wish I could say that I knew it was true or untrue,” the 89-year-old lawmaker told Van Susteren.
According to the report, Grassley’s comments echoed a similar statement he made Thursday to Fox News’ Chad Pergram that he couldn’t confirm “whether or not it’s really criminal activity.”
All we can confirm is that people are making shit up. Nancy Mace is out there saying that Biden is involved in prostitution and human trafficking:

Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia and Nancy Mace of South Carolina said they have viewed bank documents at the Treasury Department that contain “jaw-dropping” evidence of an extensive web of Biden family foreign business deals, including human trafficking and prostitution rings.
The committee is investigating whether President Biden participated in or knew about his family’s foreign business deals. The Republican-led panel is combing through Treasury Department suspicious activity reports, or SARs, that banks have generated.
Many thousands of SARs are generated every year and they mean absolutely nothing other than that a transaction took place or someone sent in a tip that nine times out of ten turn out to be nothing. These morons combing through them is like letting 5 year olds read your x-rays.
On Sunday, Comer also admitted that he couldn’t find his main whistle blower in the Hunter Biden case. The right wingers all said that means he’s been disappeared by the Deep State or some such nonsense.
None of this will matter to the cult, of course. They already believe that Biden is running a “crime family” who have been selling out the country to China and Ukraine. This is just some “investigation” cos-playing for Trump and to feed the right wing media with a veneer of institutional validity. None of it has ever had any merit.
